A negative test result for nCoV is required, but a quick test in 24 hours or RT-PCR in 72 hours is allowed, before leaving the country.

For passengers entering via air, those with suspected symptoms must be tested immediately at the airport; the rest go straight to their pre-registered places of residence, self-isolate within 24 hours and undergo rapid testing or PCR; continue medical monitoring within 14 days under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, implement 5K.

International visitors entering via land are tested at the border gate before entry. Travelers must install the prescribed health management application and enable it continuously during travel. The proposal also requires a minimum of $10,000 in Covid-19 coverage. If the guest is positive, they will be isolated, managed and treated like a Vietnamese.
